Autocad Designer Jobs

We are looking for a CAD Designer to be responsible for drafting the security floor layouts (access control, CCTV, telecom, DAS), wiring diagrams, schematics and access control board layout drawings necessary to complete full drawing packages for our clients. The CAD Designer will create complete design drawing packages under the direction of a Project Manager following guidelines established by a CAD Supervisor. The CAD Designer is expected to work within the design criteria established by the Project Manager, but will be essential to be creative and resourceful to document detailed information. Engineering documents supplied to the CAD Designer include system specifications, system take-off, typical circuit diagrams accompanied by spreadsheets detailing instances, I/O lists and any number of other documents required to provide the necessary design information. The CAD Technician must be able to read design drawings from various sources and trades. The CAD Designer is expected to take ownership in his/her work, pay attention to details, and continuously learn to ensure consistency of design.

What we’re looking for:

·2 year associate degree in Architectural Drafting, Electrical, Electronic Technology or similar work field experience in a similar position.

·Ability to read and interpret low voltage electrical schematics

·Knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits; understanding of switches and relays

·Ability to create graphical representations of various components

·High quality standard and attention to detail; ensuring that what is being drawn is correct

·Be very focused; able to stay with a project until the drawings are complete despite constant distraction

·Ability to work as part of a team

·Proficient computer skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, Nitro Pro, XODO

·Mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning

·Basic knowledge of VDC/BIM on 3D

·Knowledge of computer workstation in a network environment

·Printers and plotters installation and configuration

The job consists of:

·Equipment head-end design and layout of access control panel drawings

·12/24VDC power distribution

·one-lines and detail drawings

·Rack layout drawings

·input and output drawings

·Field interconnect drawings such as loop drawings or point-to-point connection diagrams

·Field device location drawings

·Other drawings as necessary to provide a complete design package

·Create, use, update and maintain drawing standards

·Create submittal documentation, equipment cuts book, design package and as-built package

·Create operation and maintenance manuals
