DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An employee in this position conducts desk or on-site monitoring of subrecipients of federal and state grant programs in accordance with all agency, state and federal regulations, guidance and policies to ensure compliance with all terms, conditions and purposes of the grants. the employee acts as Lead auditor, when required and provides guidance to junior team members, develops timelines for completion of the monitoring process and prepares monitoring reports.
In this position, the employee establishes and maintains effective working relationships with subrecipients, associates and superiors. The employee communicates with the manager and supervisor on a consistent basis regarding progress on assignments and significant issues related to monitoring reviews.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Free secure On-Site parking.
  • During activation, may have to work 12 hour shifts.

  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successfully completing a comprehensive in-person, on site training . In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • Full-time employment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Auditor 1; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and one year of auditing experience.
  • One year of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
