Our team is seeking a leader who is focused, collaborative and consultative to join our growing analytics and insights team. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable managing a small team, leading client projects, and also enjoy jumping into the data themselves. We seek a candidate who is an analytical thinker who can research laterally, solve complex problems and see the big picture while mining the richness of detail in a variety of datasets.


As part of the New York City or Washington, D.C., analytics practice, this role will serve as a lead on client business executing social, media, digital, and polling-focused research projects designed around pressing needs from corporations, startups, campaigns, advocacy groups, and nonprofits. The ideal candidate will coach and mentor more junior employees while driving client work in analytics, spanning paid, earned, shared and owned media, web, search, email, and database.


What You Will Be Doing
  • Contribute to team understanding of client industries as well as digital and political analytics innovations and new technologies,
  • Creating analyses of data sets (including through both written summaries and data visualization)
  • Developing KPIs and Measurement methods for analytics projects
  • Collaborating with the paid team to power political and paid advocacy campaigns including audience creation, paths to victory, media mix, content testing
  • Synthesizing and communicating insights based on findings
  • Overseeing and compiling both quantitative and qualitative data from a series of data sources for reporting and analysis (including Voterfile data, survey and message testing data, Meltwater, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Quid, Buzzsumo, Pollfish, Google Analytics, and more)
  • Leading client engagements for the research and analytics teams
  • Leading integration across teams to put findings and insights into action
  • Identifying and pulling the data needed to conduct the analysis.
  • Deck creation for ongoing monitoring reports and deeper analysis
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members
  • This includes scoping research in proposals, creating research work plans, overseeing research execution, and client relationship management


What We Are Looking For


  • Familiarity with voterfile analysis, using both the VAN interface as well as querying the voterfile directly from a redshift database using Civis platform and SQL
  • Understanding of a variety of industries, including corporate, political, and advocacy
  • A professional communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Experience working with diverse sets of data and leading teams that synthesize stories across datatypes
  • Strong people and client management skills
  • A passion for data, analytics, and insights
  • Creative, energetic, detail-oriented and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit
  • An analytics leader with 6+ years of experience working in analytics, data or research preferably with experience in an agency setting
  • Experience building audiences for campaign targeting, using support, turnout, and other relevant modeled scores to create first-party lists
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple workstreams and priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Knowledge of experimental design to facilitate randomized controlled message testing with vendors
  • A willingness to take on new challenges
  • Highly collaborative team player who enjoys working across teams

The salary range for this role is $105,000-130,000.


Due to the pandemic, we required all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. We are currently working in a hybrid model.
