What You’ll do
Summary
Integral role in supporting the Director of Operational Readiness, US to deliver large-scale LSbp solar plants from Construction to Operations in the Americas. Responsible for delivering safe, quality, and compliant solar projects from EPC to US Asset Services within the Americas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Origination Support (20%)
  • Assist internal stakeholders during bid and RFP processes
o Maintain, review, and update operational expense assumptions including –
 Preventative/Corrective O&M
 Vegetation Management
 SCADA/telecom
 Asset Management
 NERC Compliance
 Region specific expenses
  • Analyze operational improvement initiatives, create value throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review and assist in execution of various management agreements during the preconstruction process
  • Support and maintain feedback look from US Asset Services to Development and Construction.
Financial and Commercial Onboarding (30%)
  • Review and document notice and milestone requirements for all project documentation including –
  • Help support the collection, organization and filing of all financing and commercial documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide continuity and consolidate workstreams from origination to operation
o PPA
o LGIA
o Operations and Maintenance Agreements
o Asset Management Agreements
o Land Control Documentation
o Property Tax and PILOT Agreements
Operational Onboarding (50%):
  • Support the EPC, Asset Services, and O&M onboarding of new assets into the portfolio

o Maintain tracking and onboarding documentation throughout the project lifecycle
o Coordinate with internal and 3rd party O&M teams to facilitate project turnover
o Secure O&M relevant documents including

 Inverter, transformer, tracker and relevant OEM manuals
 Substation equipment manuals
 Site permits
 Operational agreements including PPA, LGIA, etc.
o Milestone notifications to 3rd Party O&M provider as required by service contract
o Document and report onboarding status of project pipeline from origination to operation

Knowledge
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment

Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or related experience is required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in an analytical role (financial or operations)
Experience
  • Strong familiarity with solar power plant asset management and operations
  • Thorough understanding of solar project life-cycle
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Detailed understanding of key project documents and milestones

We offer
  • US team members are entitled to medical benefits, life insurance, dental benefits, vision benefits and short- and long-term disability benefits. Lightsource bp pays for the first $800 of the monthly insurance premium. For staff members with dependents, Lightsource will cover 50% of the costs of covering dependents. The team member contributes the remainder of the premium, if any, through pre-tax payroll deduction.
  • US team members receive a monthly personal phone bill reimbursement of up to $100 and a monthly commuter benefit of up to $150. Team members also receive one-time wellness and remote work allowances.
  • Lightsource bp offers US team members immediate eligibility for a 401(k) plan, with a 3% nonelective employer contribution.
  • Our team members are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, calculated based on corporate, team and individual objectives. Team members in the US may receive an additional 50% of their annual bonus in a “retention bank” as well, available for withdrawal after three years of bonus awards have accrued.
  • Lightsource bp currently observes the following 11 holidays in the US: New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • Team members in the US enjoy a hybrid work environment.
  • US team members accrue 20 days of vacation and 15 days of sick leave annually. All team members are also eligible for COVID-19 leave.
