The Search arbitrage team is part of the Yahoo Search organization. We build, plan, launch and optimize Display, Search & Native campaigns in Google, Facebook, Taboola, Outbrain and others. A Lot About You


Business Intelligence Analysts generate profit for Yahoo through creating and managing ads that generate more revenue than they cost to run. Business Intelligence Analysts are specialists when it comes to the analysis of Search, Native and Display advertising, experts in identifying trends in the data, looking for patterns of growth and goodness, and teasing out relevant insights. A great combination of Media Buying, Data Analysis and Project Management is the perfect mix.


Your Day


  • Campaign creation including Keyword research, sourcing images, writing copy and building campaigns.
  • Campaign optimization: Daily campaign optimization via bid and budget changes, placement blocks, and campaign copy/image changes, to generate more profit from campaigns that are performing vs those that are not
  • Keep up with platform enhancements, e.g. Google Ads beta programs and new features, to ensure we’re maximizing opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for new types of creatives
  • Ensure return on ad spend performance on all platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook, Taboola, Outbrain, etc.), and enforce paid spend efficiency


You will have a quarterly profit goal and the autonomy to plan your hours/days/weeks to achieve that goal.



You Must Have


  • A keen eye for patterns in data
  • Previous media buying experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics and critical thinking

The compensation for this position ranges from $61,875.00 - $128,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
