YOU

As the Associate Engineering Administrative Assistant for our Truss team, you will assist the department manager and be responsible for the efficient and productive operation of the Component Review process, documentation, and processing of customer requests for engineering. You will also provide backup coverage for the current Senior Engineering Administrative Assistant.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Review and transmit jobs to and from 3rd party engineer vendors using a proprietary software system. (30%)

Managing work assignments in a proprietary software system to ensure equitable distribution of workload throughout the various phases of projects that we review. (20%)

Support specific customer requests through email or phone as required. (20%)

Miscellaneous administrative support as needed and other tasks as assigned. (15%)

Primary back up for Senior Administrative Assistant. (15%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • 1 years' experience in supporting a fast-paced team, ideally within a facilities department and/or one year's experience as an administrative assistant.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Self-Management & Prioritization: Prioritizes tasks and activities based on the contribution they make to the department and company’s objectives. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities and to set well-defined and realistic personal goals.
  • Teamwork: Coordinates one’s work and performance with that of others to achieve mutual outcomes. Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships and build consensus within the department.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor and review work for completeness and possess strong organization skills. Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
  • Accountability & Dependability: Ability to show up to work on time, and follow instructions, policies and procedures. Ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies problems and opportunities for changes and implements solutions accordingly. Ability to identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft software; Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Results Focus & Initiative: Anticipates and prevents future problems, takes charge to bring about change, and takes initiative with role. Ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude towards getting things done.

Pay

$17.93 - $26.88 / Hourly
