Summary

The Associate Director of Sales is an experienced senior level hotel sales role that reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.


Responsibilities include:


  • Fostering relationships with the Hyatt Sales Force
  • Managing and leading the sales and catering staff as well as managing select key accounts
  • Maintaining knowledge of market and competitors
  • Customer entertainment, community involvement and networking
  • Mentoring and training sales and catering staff
  • Recruitment and hiring of sales and catering staff
  • Business travel and tradeshows
  • Managing the annual RFP process
  • Report analysis, P&L management including annual and monthly forecasting, group pace report, star report and sales reports
  • Developing with Director of Revenue, group and catering deployment strategies through competitive data, demand analysis and mix management
  • Involvement with the annual business plan process and annual marketing plan
  • Leading sales meetings and collaborating with convention services
  • Developing business leads, solicit potential accounts, service existing accounts in partnership with sales and catering staff
  • Forecasting group and transient revenue


This position may be required to serve as Director in the absence of the Director of Sales.

Qualifications


A minimum of 3-5 years previous sales experience, proficient in general computer knowledge, supervisory experience, and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts. Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance.
