Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site Associate Counsel role. This role reports to the Senior Counsel of IP and Litigation.



Job responsibilities:

1) Review, assess, and execute intellectual property-related take down requests and notices.

2) Investigate claims of IP infringement.

3) Conduct legal research to support litigation and business initiatives.

4) Draft responses to demand letters.

5) Liaise with cross-functional business partners to offer guidance and advice on IP and platform immunity-related risks.

6) Provide prompt responses to outside counsels’ inquiries.

7) Marshal evidence for litigation.

8) Support advertising and marketing content review on an occasional basis.

9) Carry out workstreams with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and ownership.



Qualifications:

1) Have a Juris Doctorate (JD) with 1-3 years of post-JD legal experience.

2) Be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. state or jurisdiction.

3) Have IP-related experience, either in-house or at a law firm.

4) Be adept at issue spotting, employing effective risk management strategies, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

5) Be able to work independently under tight deadlines.

6) Preferably have a working familiarity with platform immunity and related safe harbors.

7) Preferably have experience working at technology and international companies.
