Job Description

As a Corporate Counsel you will support all day-to-day legal activities.


What You'll Do at OM1


  • Serve as escalation point for legal questions from Contracts Specialist
  • Draft and negotiate contracts with clients, partners, vendors, and research sites
  • Prepare and update relevant contract templates
  • Assist General Counsel with the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks
  • Review existing agreements and assist General Counsel with legal business regarding the company’s rights and obligations
  • Work with the company’s liability insurance broker to help oversee the risk management/insurance program
  • Assist with questions related to HIPAA and other data privacy regulations
  • Provide general legal legal, corporate, commercial, and compliance support for the company’s activities
  • Develop and deliver relevant training programs to management and staff
  • Support business development efforts
What Experience You'll Bring


  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and GSuite software
  • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in high volume and an ever changing fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Juris Doctor degree and a member of the Massachusetts State Bar
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of related legal life sciences experience in a fast paced, high tech environment working with life sciences companies, CROs, and clinical research sites
  • Demonstrated experience using a contracts management system
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information
