Your Team


As an Associate, Business Systems Analyst on the Enterprise Investment Technology team , you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve the iRisk Data Warehouse and related technology. You will act as the primary interface between Technology and specific business areas, identifying business unit requirements, creating project and process specifications, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to analytical understanding and technology knowledge , you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.


Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day


  • Works on solving extremely complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
  • Collaborate with product owners in understanding needs and defining feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact
  • Support the Lead Business Systems Analyst and Product Owner setting ambitious and clear product vision, and communicating ‘the story’ effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team; Leverage learning opportunities to provided by the team
  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with product vision
  • Works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Understands the vision and owns aspects of the product management/roadmap activities
  • Assist in developing user stories, process designs and logical data models in support of agile delivery teams


The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of several of the following:
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Project/Product Management: Planning, Progress Monitoring and Status Reporting, including visualization of works; Scaling Agile – Organizing, synchronizing multiple teams setup Estimations, ROI, project life cycle
  • Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Ability to facilitate dialogue at the right level of detail for all members of the Agile team.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Ability to work seamlessly with business partners and software developers alike in a liaison role.
  • Decision-Making & Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering; Analytics or experience in related fields
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills
  • Financial Acumen : Knowledge of understanding of financial concepts, tools and processes and how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes. Includes understanding of company accounts/metrics (ex: balance sheet, profit/loss, cash flow, budget & forecast).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing with experience in design and implementation is a plus
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge in investment products including Debt (Fixed Income, Structured Finance, Private Placements, Mortgage Loans), Equity and Alternative Assets, Real Estate and Derivatives is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks with competing priorities.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $55,700.00 to $82,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
