Job Description

Assistant Project Manager/Development Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Project Manager/Development Associate to join our team in the development and construction industry. This position will involve working closely with project managers and development professionals to support various aspects of project management, development, and construction processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for the construction and development industry.


Responsibilities to include but not limited to:


  • Assist in managing construction budgets, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist project managers in coordinating project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Support the acquisition and entitlement process by coordinating with architects, engineers, and government agencies.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Assist in preparing project proposals, financial models, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project development activities, such as market research, feasibility studies, and due diligence.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers to oversee construction activities, including contract management, progress tracking, and quality control.


Team Collaboration:


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Support effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve project milestones.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating project meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting action items, and following up on tasks.


Qualifications:


  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience in project coordination, construction management, or development is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, real estate development, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
