Busy Mechanical Construction company looking for an energized and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Project Manager to join our team.

Salary: $58,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year, Salary commensurate with experience

Oversee all aspects of Construction Project

Ideal candidate will have minimum 3 year experience in Construction Mechanical HVAC trades, strong knowledge of both air side (ducts) and water side (piping), with experience working on Public projects.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager to oversea, manage, and coordinate all aspects of Construction Projects from planning to closeout

Review and Understand All Contract General Conditions, Work Scope, Specs, Drawings, Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, etc.

Organize, prepare, compose, review, track and distribute RFIs

Organize, prepare, compose, submit, track all submittals and contract communications

Ability to take/compose weekly construction status report with photos and general descriptions

Basic understanding of construction schedule development and ability to produce 2-4 week lookaheads

Process project closeout documents, quantify requirements, procure from subcontractors, track and process with owner through completion.

Correspond and Communicate with Owner/CM and/or GC as well as with other trades

Attend and participate in Project Meetings

Regular job site visits and inspection to view progress of projects.

Qualifications

Must have strong background in Mechanical Engineering

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus

At least 3 year experience in Mechanical Construction

Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

Familiarity with Procore or similar software

Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities

Must be Reliable and Responsible, possess strong personal commitment for long-term and meaningful goals

Must have a car and be able and willing to travel to multiple job sites in NYC

Experience with Public Construction Projects (i.e. SCA, DDC, NYCHA, DASNY, MTA) = A PLUS

Experience with NYC School Construction Authority SCA = A PLUS

Familiarity with Procore = A PLUS
