As the Deputy HR Director, you'll be at the forefront of providing top-notch personnel services for over 6,250 Navy civilian appropriated fund employees. Role Overview
As the Deputy HR Director, you will be the driving force behind managing a talented and dedicated team of human resources specialists and support personnel. Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of HR functions, including Recruiting/Staffing, Employee/Labor Relations, Workforce Development, Classification/OWCP, and HR Information Systems. Your innovative ideas and strategic vision will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and effective operations of our civilian HR program.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and provide guidance for all major HR functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and legal requirements.
Advise and support managers in making critical decisions related to personnel responsibilities.
Foster a positive and engaging work environment, keeping a close eye on employee satisfaction and morale.
Implement and manage a robust labor relations program, building strong relationships with multiple local unions and national affiliations.
Stay ahead of workforce trends and changes, proactively addressing potential challenges and future problems.
Requirements
A strong desire to serve your country and fellow citizens.
US Citizenship and eligibility for federal employment.
Demonstrated experience in delivering civilian federal HR services, including staffing and recruitment, labor relations, and employee development.
Familiarity with governing laws and regulations related to HR practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
