Human Resources Assistant
This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to begin or expand your developing Human Resources career. In this position, you will provide administrative assistance with the employee life cycle of activities from recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, etc. You must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. This position will work remotely however you will need to have the ability to visit our Wakefield, MA, and Portsmouth, NH offices as needed.
What You'll Do
  • Complete the biweekly payroll and associated reporting
  • Assist with office management.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Assist in the hiring and recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
  • Assist in new employee orientation programs and onboarding activities, including preparing paperwork, and scheduling training sessions.
  • Coordinate and/or support various HR department initiatives and programs as needed.
  • Assist with planning and execution of company events, programs, etc.
  • Provide administrative assistance to HR Director and Administrative/Finance team
  • Maintain employee records, including updating information in the HRIS systems
What You'll Need
  • Experience developing internal systems
  • 2+ years of office assistant experience
  • Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, and BambooHR preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Google Suite with the aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Engaging personality and optimistic outlook
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with online platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
