Summary


Assists in the operations of the restaurant. Manages sales, profits, marketing, human resources and execution of concept.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Conducts hourly orientations.
  • Participates and oversees the purchasing of the restaurant.
  • Assists in the preparation of all budgets, forecasts, and reconciliation.
  • Completes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.
  • Assists in the execution of all company and restaurant marketing programs.
  • Prepares key hourly schedules in the restaurant.
  • Occasionally attends meetings as needed.
  • Familiar with and able to handle all positions in the restaurant.
  • Efficient in all computer work, POS, and back-office systems.
  • Oversees the scheduling and performance of all annual reviews for hourly staff. Prepares and conducts hourly reviews.
  • Assists and/or performs the preparation and execution of all meetings.
  • May prepare manager's schedule.
  • Upholds a positive attitude that enforces a good working environment.
  • May participate in company projects at different locations, possibly out of state.
  • Upholds all cash handling procedures.
  • May occasionally sit in on managers reviews.
  • Works as a team player; has a pleasant and helpful attitude toward guests and staff members to ensure guest satisfaction. Exemplifies the company's core values of honesty, integrity, respect, commitment and quality fanaticism.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations.
  • Hires, trains, develops, disciplines, and terminates hourly staff.
  • May assist in the development of managers and other team members.
  • Upholds all government rules and regulations.
  • Manages the P&L.
  • Communicates regularly with the Executive Chef/GM and CEO verbally and written.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises all hourly employees of the establishment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.


QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Four to six years related restaurant management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES State law may require certifications to handle food and/or serve alcoholic beverages.


LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees of the establishment.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.


REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to recognize, deal with, and resolve problems involving standardized situations.
