Purpose


The role of the Assistant Front Desk Manager is to oversee and participate in all essential operations including arrivals, departures, billing, and guest experience. This individual will be an escalation point for all guest issues and inquires that are brought to the Front Desk. Additionally, this team member will have primary oversight of colleague onboarding and on the job training at the direction of Front Office Management. They will ensure staff is providing world-class service while balancing the needs of guests, associates, and owners.


This position starts at $22 an hour and goes up from there depending on experience.


The Primary Functions Are


  • Responds to guest needs and provides anticipatory service
  • Trains Front Desk personnel to Forbes’ 5-Star standards
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of accommodations, package plans, and Resort facilities
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints
  • Monitor aged receivables to ensure outstanding accounts are settled in a timely manner
  • Manage and participate in the arrival and departure processes
  • Uphold management expectations, manage processes, and assist Front Office management in holding others accountable for the agreed upon activities and timetables.
  • Check guests in and out including preparation of folios and authorizing payments
  • Ensure daily checklists are completed in all areas
  • Act as Manger on Duty (MOD) at the direction of Front Office management

  • Remains flexible with open availability in order to cover the unexpected needs of the Resort
  • Uphold a professional demeanor in the face of adversity
  • Provide feedback to the team, both positive and constructive, to ensure the resort is achieving its customer service targets
  • Monitors daily arrivals and ensures accommodations are prepared prior to check in
  • Expert knowledge of the hotel PMS, the Paws Up app, and all other programs and systems
  • First point of contact for guest feedback and service recovery situations
  • Audits daily arrivals and departures to ensure accurate guest flight information
