Compensation: $56,155-$63,836

Purpose:

Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, the Digital Designer is responsible for concept development, visual exploration and final execution of design directions for PacSun.com. The Digital Designer must be able to work successfully within a team setting that includes collaboration with other members in Marketing, Ecommerce, CRM, and Merchandising to ensure on-brand and technically sound visual design solutions.

Core Accountabilities:

Development:

• Research and stay current with digital design trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional to meet marketing objectives and adhere to timelines.
• Design for the digital space with understanding of the unique challenges of digital and mobile platforms
• Solicits and assimilates design feedback; independently execute revisions with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong foundational design skills and ability to emulate brand and design standards.
• Consistently consult with Manger for guidance and validation
• Concept creation, design and execution of overall visual language for pacsun.com – including website updates, emails, mobile app updates, banners and other online media.
• Demonstrate an eagerness to learn, be a team player, share information and provide a fresh perspective.

Delivery:

• Collaborates with Development Team to ensure correct implementation of approved design direction.
• Responsible for adhering to style guide and asset delivery requirements for web.
• Understanding of web design.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience Required:

• Formal training in graphic design, typography, digital design and/or visual communications
• Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to translate feedback visually.
• Must be team-oriented, dedicated, inquisitive, and collaborative, ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented, highly organized and a keen eye for consistency.
• 3+ year experience in Digital Design and Production, in-house/digital experience preferred.
• Highly conceptual and ability to interpret and adapt existing brands to the interactive space.
• Working knowledge of the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
• Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
• Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
• Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be Required.
• Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
