Our Assistant Controller Consultant is part of the outsourced accounting team, which may include an Accountant, Sr. Accountant, Accounting Manager, Controller and CFO. The Assistant Controller Consultant is responsible for implementing accounting and financial processes using RoseRyan’s core technology systems to prepare management and board financial reports.

The Assistant Controller manages the month and year-end close processes, ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately. Provides guidance, training and mentoring to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all deadlines are met.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and use of resources
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Provide recommendations to the Controller for process improvements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Utilize RoseRyan best practice standard tools, templates and methodologies in delivery of client services and interacting with RoseRyan personnel; ensure entire RoseRyan team is utilizing these tools

Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced computer skills on accounting software and databases
• Proven knowledge of GAAP and accounting processes
• Minimum 5 years prior supervisory experience in accounting or finance
