Join our like-minded staff who are passionate about student success.UVU is currently hiring for an Academic Scheduling Assistant. This position works closely with academic departments in the production of class schedules for credit courses. This position performs a variety of office support duties, including complex data entry, research, and responding to inquiries.Come be part of helping students achieve their dreams!


Summary Of Responsibilities


  • Exhibits working knowledge of integral scheduling software. Identifies and reports software issues.
  • Actively participates in department process improvements and special projects. Participates in tracking and reporting of high impact scheduling requests.
  • Performs administrative tasks and other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Performs complex data entry of semester course offerings (e.g., course section changes, course-based fees, room scheduling, final exams) and adheres to university policies and related guidelines. Assists with final schedule reviews prior to publication and registration.
  • Acts as initial point of contact for academic department schedulers and advises on correct scheduling procedures and deadlines.


Minimum Qualifications


Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate\'s degree plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.


Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities


Knowledge


  • Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and class scheduling related areas and processes (preferred).
  • Knowledge of software systems, including: SIS (Banner), room scheduling (CollegeNet 25Live), and class scheduling (CourseLeaf CLSS).
  • Knowledge of MS Office products, including: Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.


Skills


  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
  • Professional, clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written) in English.


Abilities


  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
