About the Job
Primary responsibility of ASM is to execute and implement the sales and marketing programs in assigned territory and to deliver against annual sales plan.
South Central Region consists of 4 states now: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Residing near a major airport hub in the south central region is required (preferably Texas)
Responsibilities
The (ASM) objective is to drive incremental volume growth, and sustain existing business by selling our foodservice product portfolio to key operators at the Center of the Plate with Multi Unit, Regional Chains, College & University, Healthcare, Lodging, Business & Industry, Contract Management and Commercial segments.
The (ASM) works closely reporting to their Director of Sales - West and supporting local distribution partner sales teams in each market to achieve agreed upon market volume objectives by category and business channel.
Qualifications
- Ability to cook, prepare and create food presentations, develop on trend recipe applications and menu ideation.
- “Hunter’s” mentality and a strong desire to win.
- Results driven, self-motivated. Must be a self-starter and possesses a high bias for action. Strong negotiation skills.
- Acts with honesty, integrity and accepts coaching direction, ability to think outside the box.
- Home office is required; Position requires some home storage space for a freezer and product/promotional materials.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) in business, marketing or another related field is preferred, or 5 years industry experience.
- Ability to calculate and apply basic transactions such as discounts, percentages, portion costs, yield, gross margins, solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- 2 years of foodservice sales, seafood sales and/or culinary experience and/or culinary degree preferred.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- Team Member must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, Word, Excel Access, Outlook, Calendar and Power Point, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams
- Ability to write reports/ general business correspondence. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Willingness to engage in professional development if provided by company.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from large groups of managers, clients and customers, excellent interpersonal and business management skills.
- Must have a valid Driver's License, 60% Travel is required, with limited overnight trips.
