BODYARMOR is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our team.


The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the development, application, and execution of BODYARMOR sales plans and goals designed to increase sales, profits and market share for an assigned territory.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Can work in a high energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate successes, competition trends, deals, product introductions and opportunities via daily/weekly sales recaps to their Regional Sales Manager.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the distributor salesforce, management, operations, and office staff to maximize brand potential.
  • Primary point of contact for sales, merchandising and delivery teams at local sales center(s).
  • For example: Demoing, event planning, execution, and sampling events in local markets
  • Communicate all information regarding sales center workforce to Regional Sales Manager and assist Regional Sales Manager in their day-to-day duties.
  • Manage and train a team of summer sales interns and annual sales contractors.
  • Further the development, sales, and promotion of all BODYARMOR® products throughout all channels of business.
  • Check & monitor product inventory levels at the distributor and communicate potential problems to Regional Sales Manager.
  • Support local Field Marketing Manager to maximize program execution at a regional level.
  • Execute P.O.S., and secondary placement opportunities using tools provided by the Regional Sales Manager to maximize brand potential and eliminate out of stock situations.
  • Follow-up on, and communicate, all results from consumer relations inquiries passed along through the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Participate in crew drives, or sales blitzes, throughout the region, division and country in order to support field team in achieving their sales goals.
  • Ensure proper execution of all chain promotional activities at store level – including, but not limited to: communication with chain management (vertical call), securing & building displays, maintaining proper levels of inventory, planogram execution, and point of sale distribution.
  • Ensure & forecast Point of Sale availability at local sales center(s).
  • Work with local marketing team to ensure proper execution of all marketing initiatives


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Local market knowledge
  • Motor Vehicle Records must satisfy Company standards per Driving Policy
  • Location of residence within the Central/North New Jersey area
  • Retail account management experience preferred
  • Ability to pay for approved & reasonable business expenses (reimbursed per company policy)
  • Position requires in-person attendance at bi-annual company retreats/meetings nationwide by car and plane
  • 1-3 years’ experience within Sales experience required, DSD account management experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Professional approach and demeanor, Enthusiastic and engaging communicator, Proactive personality with entrepreneurial skill set
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Position requires substantial local travel by car (50-75%) including both local and neighboring geographic territories
  • Ability & willingness to lift 40-50lbs
  • Automobile Insurance
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances
  • Experience in cold call sales & territory management

Salary Range:


$70,000 - $92,000 annually


Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
