Title: Area Manager, Fulfillment Operations


Location: Cicero, IL


Role Description:


As ShipBob's Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing a team of associates in our fulfillment center. You'll be heavily involved in driving process improvement, maintaining a safe work environment, and tracking performance/employee engagement. As an Area Manager, you will oversee all associates and leads.


What you'll do:


  • Manage a team of warehouse associates to fulfill the ShipBob mission of assisting our clients in growing their online success by delighting their customers, on a daily basis.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Proactively identify and manage process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  • Review the weekly work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives.
  • Partner with other new Area Managers to balance labor ensuring that we are operating an efficient shift while meeting all of your goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring teams are properly trained, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.


What you'll bring to the table:


  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management or a related field, preferred.
  • Successful track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000.
