The Opportunity
As an Architectural Services Sales Consultant, you will be instrumental in promoting our professional door hardware specification services to prospective architectural accounts. Your role will be pivotal in driving a "pull through" sales strategy, ensuring our innovative products penetrate the market. By establishing face-to-face relationships with new architecture firms, you will showcase our cutting-edge offerings while delivering exceptional specification services.
What You Will Do
Develop and manage strategic target account objectives.
Promote our renowned brands and architectural services to create strong brand recognition.
Conduct educational initiatives, including engaging Lunch and Learns and industry networking events.
Leverage your extensive industry knowledge and network to identify and seize project specification opportunities.
Initiate architectural consulting agreements with firms, utilizing your strong relationships and expertise in the field.
Collaborate seamlessly with the local project sales team on specification projects and market meetings.
Stay well-informed about industry trends and competitors to adapt effectively to changing market dynamics.
Craft comprehensive door hardware specifications for the architectural community, ensuring code compliance for both new construction projects and aftermarket requests.
What You Need To Succeed
A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Proven sales experience of 4-7 years, preferably in a business development role, with prior industry/architectural experience preferred.
4-7 years of door hardware industry experience to demonstrate expertise.
Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory to engage with clients effectively.
A basic understanding of security systems integrations and electronic components.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey our value proposition.
A demonstrated ability to influence others with a proactive and action-oriented approach.
A strong focus on customer service and building lasting relationships.
