Business Operations Specialist

The Opportunity:

To achieve their mission, organizations need help managing day-to-day processes and engagements and require real time support when unexpected issues and challenges arise. Whether fulfilling an immediate task or flexing to support an emerging need, our clients need an individual who will take the time to learn the complexities of their mission and become a strong member of the team. That is why we need you, a Business Operations Specialist to provide foundational support to day-to-day and long-term operations. As part of our team, you'll serve both the local team in project management support and in a technical operations capacity for our clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and scheduling short-term and long-term meetings and engagements for the team. You will be responsible for financial dashboards and travel management. You’ll review product deliverables and write papers capturing business processes and delivery achievements across multiple client support projects. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication, understanding of the client mission, and problem solving will enable the mission's success. You will manage tasks in a variety of areas. You will regularly interact with high-level internal and external government officials by understanding the client’s organizational structure and maintaining professional relations. You will laisse and coordinate meetings with key internal and external stakeholders.

You Have:

  • Experience with overseeing and managing office administration, including task status tracking and task assignment
  • Experience with MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional office environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to schedule, organize, and manage internal and external meetings in a dynamic environment, including managing preparations and meeting logistics
  • Ability to be detail-oriented

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with government or military clients
  • Experience with using government travel systems
  • Experience with providing quality reviews of external communications
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,900.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
