This position completes clerical duties critical to the daily function of the credit department within established departmental policies and procedures. This position will provide backup for the Credit Analyst role, as needed. NOTE: This is a remote-based position, with periodic office visits required. Candidates in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana region preferred, to travel periodically to our Independence, Kentucky offices.
AR Processor - Duties and Responsibilities as position/experience evolve:
Responsibilities
- Assist end user credit representative with fraud orders during peak season.
- Process adjustments from the AR shared mailbox.
- Send communication to customers who take unauthorized/unexplainable deductions.
- Assist with credit card chargeback documentation.
- Reconcile loan accounts and payment processing.
- Provide support during audits by pulling backup documentation as selected for review.
- Process stranded authorization credit card report on a weekly basis.
- Support payment processing, including checks and ACH payments.
- Serve as back-up to other Accounts Receivable employees who are out of the office.
- Manually charge credit cards after invoice based on customer’s request.
- Review and correct system misapplications daily.
- Digitally archive work product per department policy.
Communication
- Communicates with team members using written and verbal communication that is detailed, accurate and grammatically correct
Quality
- Employee must be committed to quality and meet and/or exceed quality goals established by Accounts Receivable management.
Decision Making / Problem Solving
- Must possess the ability to work independently.
- Ability to retain information in a fast paced, task driven role.
- Must be detail oriented and exhibit excellent problem-solving skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Basic (Required)
- Demonstrate excellence in digital literacy.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Accounting or related field
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Track record of ability to perform duties independently with minimal direction in an accurate and effective manner.
- Must be highly flexible and a teammate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred
- Solid understanding of Excel tables, formulas, and advanced functions
- Experience with fraud detection and associated software
