Apprenticeship ~ Information Technology Jobs

This is a 1-year length apprenticeship with on the job learning and experience. This IT apprenticeship is designated for candidates that are not currently enrolled in a technical college or 4 year university program.

The Information Services Apprentice will spend time learning the intricacies of the electronic health record from all aspects including hardware, security, admissions, billing, charting, computer order entry, physician dictation and charting, quality and other types of reporting, and any other available learning opportunities as they arise.

Apprentice must be in good standing with their high school and be able to pass a background check.

Apprentice must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and possess good written and communication skills.

Apprentice should be able to maintain confidentiality with all aspects of their experience when necessary.

Apprentice should meet all Department of Labor and other partner organization requirements.

Applicants will be given a probationary time frame of 300 hours with a baseline evaluation of how they are learning and their experiences at that time (360 evaluation).

A+ certification will be acquired while shadowing with designated time given to work through the course modules while at HRMC.
