Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an APPLICATION ENGINEER - Industrial in Portage, MI. The APPLICATION ENGINEER is responsible for technical support of assigned customers and/or markets for standard product RFQs, trainings, and sales presentations. This position works closely with the sales team to be the technical Subject Matters Expert with customers and serves a critical role to grow Industrial sales.
Responsibilities Of An APPLICATION ENGINEER Includes

• Assists in quotation activities on program engineering changes
• Maintains primary technical contact with the customer for all project related activities
• Coordinate with contract design engineers and / or design engineers located at company’s locations worldwide to achieve program timing
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Support updates for manufacturing or customer changes and release new part numbers
• Directly engage customers to understand filtration system requirements, identify current products and/or work with R&D to design new products
• Provide field support of company’s products and perform tests at required locations to support customers
• Schedules and facilitates all relevant customer project related meetings
• Completes benchmarks on products as assigned
• Actively monitors the competitive products in the market and their application on our customer products
• Coordinate, document and report testing ( internal and external) to support customer programs
• Actively participates in the tracking and reporting on program design status, costs, budgets and capital investments ( Program Financial Status, Steering Committee Presentations, Gate Reviews)
• Support customers ( internal and external) to resolve technical issues

Job Requirements Of An APPLICATION ENGINEER

• Excellent communication skills
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous project management experience
• Experience with Catia or Pro-E
• 3 years’ experience in development of Industrial systems; including marine, power generation, material handling and compressed air systems

REQUIRED Experience And Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• 1-year of related engineering or manufacturing experience
