Does that sound interesting? Do you want to work with renewable energy? Do you want to grow along with us? We hope so because we are looking for an Application Engineer superstar to join our team. *This is a remote position but must be based in Hawaii with travel to customer sites as needed.*
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Testing new products with various battery-based inverters available on the markets
- Diagnosing field issues and feeding back portent information to manufacturing quality organization
- Developing installation manuals, guides, and training resources.
- Responding to technical support inquiries from clients (solar contractors and distributors) through multiple channels: phone calls, email, text messaging, CRM tickets, etc.
- Supporting Product Manager on product development and improvement.
- Working with a team of engineers and others who care deeply about advancing the role of lithium batteries in renewable applications within a fast-growing company with sizable market share
- Providing design input on energy storage systems (LI batteries) and solar inverters for existing or new residential and commercial solar PV systems, including selecting proper battery-based inverter and battery bank size
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to details and strong documentation skills.
- NABCEP Certificate preferred
- Goal focused, self-starter who can work independently
- Bilingual, Spanish & English, required
- Previous Solar Installation experience
- Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering field
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment
- Exposure to solar power or the battery industry
