You’ll join a business/editorial team committed to connecting readers and listeners to the stories, information, and inspiration ebooks and audiobooks contain. Our goal is to help users discover their next read or listen, no matter their interest, as they build a library that will enrich their lives.

Key Qualifications

  • Scrupulous attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate within the team and with a broader cross-functional group as needed
  • Passion for books—reading or listening
  • Experience working with outside partners and growing business relationships.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or merchandising in the digital space
  • Strong social and relationship-building skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with content management systems and databases
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with experience establishing and implementing processes to maximize efficiency
  • Ability to analyze and communicate results clearly and effectively to leaders with proficiency in Excel/Numbers and Keynote
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in the book/audiobook industry or with digital media preferred
  • Interest in technology, particularly Apple products
  • Ability to quickly master new applications and systems
  • Flexibility, with proven ability to handle multiple priorities and pivot quickly between tasks

Description

The ideal candidate for this role is a highly organized digital merchandiser, with a strong editorial background or a curiosity about the publishing business. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the Apple Books team in merchandising the ebook and audiobooks storefronts, curating a rich discovery experience and driving business objectives. You will also build business relationships with publisher partners and collaborate with cross-functional Apple teams, which means excellent communication skills are essential.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,700 and $166,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
