Job Description

We are seeking a Regional Vice President (External Wholesaler) to become a pivotal part of our RiverSource Annuity sales team. As a key partner to Ameriprise Advisors in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, you will play a vital role in promoting our exceptional products and fostering meaningful connections.
What You'll Do
Be a Sales Champion: You'll drive sales through one-on-one meetings with financial advisors, using your consultative sales skills to influence their choices positively. Collaborating with an internal wholesaling partner, you'll develop a strategic business plan to meet and exceed territory sales goals.
Product Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of RiverSource's products and showcase their features and benefits to address client needs effectively. You'll keep a pulse on industry changes and trends to ensure our positioning remains top-notch.
Efficiency Guru: Develop and handle systems to streamline operations, making tasks like scheduling, meeting preparation, budget management, and more, a breeze. Prioritize and manage your workload efficiently.
Educational Events: Engage in territory advisor education and entertainment events to create awareness around our product solutions. Additionally, you'll conduct informative client education events with advisors to foster better client-advisor relationships.
What You'll Bring
A Dynamic Background: You should have at least 7 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on annuities and financial markets or financial planning. 3+ years of successful training or direct selling experience will be a significant advantage.
Relationship-Building Skills: Your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly will help you shine in this role.
Traveler's Spirit: You must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time to meet with advisors and participate in events within the territory.
Licensing: Series 6 or Series 7, Series 63, and a State Insurance License (Health, Life & Variable) are required. Upon hire, you'll need to obtain Territory States Securities & Territory Insurance License.
