Job Description
Netflix is the world’s leading streaming entertainment service with 233 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
The Launch Analytics & Scheduling group is part of our Content Analytics & Operations org, which provides Netflix with best-in-class metrics, tools, analysis, insights and reporting to make effective content performance and programming decisions
As the Analyst, Launch Analytics & Scheduling, you will help to coordinate and operationalize our content scheduling strategy and information through Netflix’s multilayered dashboards, data systems and worksheets. In this role, you will also play a central role in developing and ensuring the successful execution of Netflix’s launch scheduling strategy.
This role is based in Netflix's Los Angeles office (not flexible to be based in other offices) and will report to the Director, Launch Analytics & Scheduling.
Responsibilities
  • You will regularly meet with content and production stakeholders to learn about key updates to report back to the scheduling team, including new title greenlights, estimated readiness dates, changes in production timelines that inform scheduling decisions and strategy
  • You will develop a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive strategies that can be translated into broader learnings for Netflix executives - you’ll be expected to synthesize large amounts of competitive data into insights for senior execs
  • You will create insightful presentations on scheduling, launch analytics, metrics and programming for senior business leaders.
  • Strategy:
  • You will own tracking of Netflix scheduling information and dates while monitoring cross-functional teams’ data inputs to ensure integrity for evaluation and planning. This includes proactively communicating committed launch dates and changes to cross-functional partners, as well as validating title launch information in our various systems and spreadsheets.
  • You will pitch and develop ideas to improve slate engagement and scheduling strategy
  • You will research competitors’ upcoming content release and programming schedules and analyze competitors’ strategy in comparison to Netflix. This includes discovery and organization of metadata such as genres, release dates, target audiences, etc. This also includes keeping our tools and systems up to date with accurate data.
  • Operations:
Qualifications
  • You have 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in programming and or scheduling strategy at a studio, network, or streamer.
  • You have the ability to anticipate and meet the business demands of senior-level executives
  • You have a strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • You are motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively both autonomously and within a team environment.
  • You are highly proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • You have a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a focus on generating results.
  • You have the ability to successfully interact with and influence stakeholders on our creative/content teams.
