Do you want to be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team supporting the T-Mobile Business Group? The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the T-Mobile Business Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A team) responsible for the development and performance management of the Quarterly Game Plan for Subscriber activity and KPI’s, across all segments. This individual will focus developing detailed reporting and dashboards for specific products as well as business process compliance reporting. The analyst will be required to interface with diverse groups within T-Mobile including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance. Enhancing current processes and reporting to ensure the latest information is incorporated in weekly updates to Senior Leadership will be a key element in the role. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills along with demonstrated reporting, modeling and forecasting capabilities. Accuracy, process improvement, management of multiple priorities, executive presence, concise communication, and efficient time management are critical for success in this role.

What you’ll do in your role.

  • Create, participate in and improve upon existing processes which go across the business group functions to improve accuracy of weekly forecasts for products.
  • Be a SME on Business Processes, develop reports, views, and processes to allow monitoring trends and business compliance.
  • Be a trusted advisor to cross functional groups by staying abreast of actuals, accounting movements and trends, large movers during the quarter.
  • Size risks and opportunities. Provide actionable insights around trends and material activity.
  • Be a SME on Subscriber Accounting rules and help partners understand the detailed development of actuals.
  • Develop weekly reporting and insightful dashboards around product performance.
  • Proactively monitor actual and upcoming subscriber activity KPI’s to provide timely updates to Senior Leadership.
  • Proactively seek out enhancements and accuracy of data sets that drive continuous improvement in reporting and modeling.

The experience you’ll bring.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience building and managing complex models
  • Experience working in an ambiguous and fast paced environment requiring flexibility and creativity in problem solving approach to meet the needs of the business
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in data mining and analytics software. Examples include MS SQL Server, Teradata, Power BI and Tableau
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting/financial analysis including KPI/dashboard management and variance analysis
  • Proficient in IBM Cognos (TM1)

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED

Washington Pay Range: $75,600 - $102,300

  • At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.   • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
