Position Summary


The Corporate Internal Evaluation & Compliance Analyst is responsible for the analysis and reporting of all data collected through the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) and Regulatory Compliance division.


Key Responsibilities


  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director, Corporate Internal Evaluation & Compliance
  • Identify performance indicators and data trends for presentation in periodic dashboards and scheduled meetings
  • Develop analytical tools/reporting that captures the data needed to measure and report internal/external analysis and trending of hazard events, quality IEP audit(s), investigation(s), and Regulatory Compliance data
  • Manage IEP audit checklist library and when necessary recommend and assist in creation of targeted audit checklists based on Risk Base assessments
  • Monitors development and implementation of corrective action plans that result from Internal Evaluation Program audits
  • Liaison with Operational Departments performing routine compliance assessments and assist in highlighting potential non-compliance issues
  • Prepare and present data to Senior Leadership for biannual Internal Evaluation Program meeting
  • Utilize available applications/tools to develop ad hoc and/or scheduled compliance reporting for distribution across all Stations and Operational Departments
  • Interface with the Corporate Safety Security and Compliance department to identify and prioritize audit areas using risk assessment methods
  • Develop metrics for the IEP and Compliance to identify trends and measure the performance of HAL’s Internal Evaluation Program and Regulatory Compliance


Minimum Requirements


  • Excellent proficiency in data maintenance, data collection, data cleansing, data analysis, data interpretation, and data presentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Management, Statistical Analysis, or similar field or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience
  • Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position. Failure to submit to testing or positive indications of drug use will render the applicant ineligible for employment with Hawaiian Airlines and any employment offer will be withdrawn.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects (or assignments)
  • Ability to make recommendations based on data and analysis
  • Must be able to travel occasionally
  • Team player dedicated to the Hawaiian Airlines mission
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
  • 3 years of experience in statistical analysis, data analysis, or related working experience.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Tableau, or similar data analysis/visualization tools


Preferred Qualifications


  • Two to five years aviation experience with a 14 CFR Part 121 carrier. Other relevant experience, such as military, will be considered
  • Six Sigma methodology preferred
  • Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems; including hazard identification, safety risk assessment, safety mitigation, and safety assurance
  • Have a thorough understanding of Part 5 Assurance principles including IOSA, Department of Defense, FAA, auditing process, reviewing/accepting corrective actions, and root cause analysis
  • 4 year degree in Aviation Management
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred
