Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure discipline and adherence to best practices embedding equity into measurement and evaluation across programs areas.

Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide guidance on survey development, pilot test designs, logic model development, and data interpretation.

Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of program enrollment and follow-up survey data to determine variability and patterns and answer evaluation questions.

Contribute to data analysis planning.

Create compelling visual representations of data and results.

Describe and explain the results of data analyses to non-technical audiences in clear verbal and written form.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will be dedicated to AARP Foundation's mission and will have a current understanding of systemic forces underlying poverty and inequities in the United States that determine disparities in social, economic and/or health outcomes in aging.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as gerontology, public health, public policy, public administration or related social science field; or an equivalent combination of related training and relevant work experience.

3+ years of work experience in designing and executing program evaluations and performance measurement processes in the philanthropic, nonprofit, public and/or private sector.

Experience with quantitative and qualitative social science research methods, including the ability to clearly communicate the analysis and interpretation of evaluation results to a wide range of audiences in a clear and credible manner.

Experience creating compelling data visualization products in PowerPoint and/or more sophisticated platforms.

Strong project management skills with an ability to coordinate various groups and to manage multiple projects.

Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both written and verbal, including public speaking and presenting data in compelling ways that are clear and get to the point efficiently
