Job Description

Summary:
The role of the Internal Auditor is to execute annual Sarbanes-Oxley SOX compliance efforts as well as support operational internal audit projects included in the Internal Audit Plan. As a member of the team responsible for SOX business controls analysis and testing, the individual will quickly gain broad exposure to the operations of the company – interacting with leaders in finance, accounting, operations and with our external auditor and internal audit to support the establishment of a consistent, repeatable and sustained SOX approach.
The Internal Auditor will develop a detailed understanding of business processes, looking for both control gaps and opportunities to gain process efficiency. The Internal Auditor will participate in other varying Internal Audit projects as they arise or as defined in the annual Internal Audit plan. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units and focusing on financial, IT, and operational processes.
Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
  • Strong computer skills to include experience using the MS office suite
  • Understanding of technology infrastructure and associated risks and controls is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP system desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Understanding of internal control concepts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience with software to query and present data such as Excel, SQL, and others
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance
  • Exhibit the leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change
  • Knowledge and experience in SOX 404 documentation and testing and/or financial auditing required
  • Knowledge and experience in operational and technology auditing desirable
Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA, CIA, or relevant certification is a plus
