Our client, a small but experienced Amazon reseller / digital agency in the FMCG space is seeking a Buyer with proven experience in sourcing profitable brands on Amazon.
Position Overview:
As an Amazon Buyer specializing in reselling branded goods, you will play a crucial role in driving our online retail operations on the Amazon platform. Your expertise in sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of branded FMCG products will directly impact our company’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
● Identify and research popular branded FMCG products suitable for resale on the Amazon platform.
● Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and availability.
Product Analysis and Selection:
● Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to make informed decisions about product selection and assortment.
● Evaluate the potential profitability and sales performance of different products before making purchasing decisions.
Listing and Content Management:
● Create compelling product listings with accurate and engaging content, including images, titles, descriptions, and keywords to enhance discoverability.
● Optimize listings based on customer feedback, sales data, and search algorithms to improve rankings and conversion rates.
Pricing and Margin Optimization:
● Set competitive pricing strategies that consider market dynamics, competition, cost structures, and desired profit margins.
● Monitor and adjust prices in response to market fluctuations and sales performance to maximize revenue.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
● Regularly review sales data, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the success of different products and strategies.
● Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve product performance and overall profitability.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
● Proven experience and success as a Buyer, preferably in the FMCG or e-commerce industry.
● Strong understanding of the Amazon platform, including Seller Central and Vendor Central.
● Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of relevant tools for market research and performance tracking.
● Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
● Analytical thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
● Familiarity with reselling branded goods and understanding of FMCG market dynamics.
