Air Freight Manager/Dispatcher

The successful candidate will have Logistics and/or Air Freight dispatch experience with proven history of working within a transportation/logistics operation and managing drivers.
Airfreight and supervisory experience are a plus. This position would be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Supervise all drivers allocated to the Airport.
Track daily driver movement for updates on pickups & deliveries of freight dispatched for that day.
Tracking of daily pickups to keep all clients updated on status of freight. (Includes reaching out to clients if freight is not available, attempted, listed as a no locate, etc.)
Work hand in hand with the airport drivers and internal customer service department to provide logistical solutions for all shipments dispatched to the JFK market.
Continually implement a "Can Do" attitude and customer service driven mentality.
Ability to multi-task between ongoing daily tasks, which include but are not limited to email communication, phone communication with drivers, as well as customers (brokers, 3PL’s, direct customers), ability to work in ever changing fast paced environment, managing each day unalike as all daily matters are diverse.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook)
Airfreight, DOT, TSA, CFS (customs in-bond freight) knowledge is a plus.
The right person will have the ability to multi-task along with continuing to be pliable and focused on managing the drivers allocated to the JFK Airport service region. Having clear concise communication across the board to drivers and customer base alike is an imperative part of the job. You should have a proven job record and reliability along with verifiable computer skills (typing, Excel, Word, Outlook, and TMS).
