About our Firm:
- Assisting admin staff and/or staff members with various admin/accounting tasks and assignments
- Learning and using several software programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, ProSystem Tax, SafeSend, SmartVault, Practice Management, Workflow)
- Organizing and scanning documents into digital (paperless) file system software
- Assisting with collecting and sorting mail
- Providing back up for answering phones, greeting/assisting clients in office as needed, providing clients with tax packets if picking up
- This is a seasonal position - Part-time/Full-time - late January/early February through mid-April. Position may transition to part-time with a few hours a week for the remainder of the year depending on needs of the company.
- Assisting with processing 8879s as needed
- Processing of individual and business tax return packets in a consistent, neat, and orderly fashion to be delivered to clients
- Proactively and independently working to identify problems that arise during processing, asking efficient questions to solve problems to gain the clarification needed
- Helpful attitude – desire to help coworkers as needed
- Detail oriented – efficiency and accuracy
- Independent worker and problem-solver – proactively works to solve issues
- Team player – ability to communicate efficiently, consistently and effectively with staff members
- Accounting specific degree or experience not necessary
