The David Geffen School of Medicine, Department of OBGYN is seeing to hire a full time Administrative Data Specialist who will assist with the following duties: * Compiling, reconciling, and analyzing of information for multiple clinical departments; including pertinent data range from billing, payroll & personnel, academic dossier, and related. * Facilitate quality improvement projects along with associated administrative duties as assigned. * Other duties as assigned that involve administrative support, data review and analysis and coordination for the department. Pay Range: $22.03 - $43.68 hourly
Required * Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of constituents such as faculty, administrative and clinical staff. * Skill in communication, both verbal and written. * Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with culturally diverse populations (cultural, socio-economic status, educational, cognitive) in order to efficiently establish rapport and cooperative, collaborative working relationships. * Skill in analyzing information, problem solving, and identifying areas for improvement. * Two plus years of overall experience in data management, data analysis, and/or data science. * Experience with software such as MS Excel, Word, Visio or data visualization tools such as Tableau, MS Power BI, and/or related. * Experience building data reports for decision support. * Knowledge of principles on data governance, data security, and quality assurance. * Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. * Skill in handling sensitive or confidential matters with discretion. * Demonstrated skill in setting priorities in order to complete work in a timely manner especially when there are changes in assignment, workload, and pressures of deadlines. * Outstanding attention to detail. * Experience developing, monitoring, and implementing office systems and procedures to ensure a smooth and effective operation. * Demonstrated strong work ethic and dedication. Preferred * Familiarity with medical terminology. * Experience within an academic medical setting. * Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. * Exposure to tools such as Epic software, SQL server management studio, and/or similar type applications.
