Job Description
Who We Are
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About The Role
The individual in this role should be a master multi-tasker committed to providing excellent experiences to internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be charged with overseeing incoming calls, filing, scheduling, coordination of meetings, lunches and conferences, obtaining office supplies, and working on special projects as needed to support employee engagement activities at the Food Bank. The Administrative Coordinator will deal with a diverse group of external callers and visitors, as well as, internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independence, good judgment, and a high level of discretion are required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
What You’ll Do
Provides Excellent Support & Service to Internal & External Stakeholders
  • Greets and directs all visitors to the building; responds to callers and communicates information and troubleshoots issues as needed.
  • Maintains reservation calendar for internal and external stakeholders, with all required documentation, as needed.
  • Supports coordination of meetings and training sessions, including room reservations, and meeting invitations, ordering meals for meetings as requested.
  • Monitors requests for space in a timely manner; obtains contracts and evidence of insurance as needed for external groups.
  • Serves as the back-up to the Receptionist.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of supplies for designated/assigned spaces.
Administrative Coordination
  • Assists in the coordination of meetings and office events including support for the Executive Leadership team as needed for events and on-site meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Processes mail, invoices/check appropriately, supports processes for employee cash advances, food assistance, and the like.
  • Prepares presentations, org charts, memos, letters and other documents to support employee communications, meetings, and the onboarding process
  • Records Management – organized and accurate.
  • Oversees ordering of office supplies and consistently maintains adequate levels of supplies and office equipment.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience with professional verbal communications skills and exceptional customer service skills to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have working experience with PowerPoint to create standard presentations using templates, creating documents in Word, and executing data entry in Excel
  • Must have proven experience with multi-tasking, coordinating, and communicating with stakeholders to execute projects and/or events and using discretion in maintaining confidential information
