Job Description
JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant
REQUISITION: DIS00MF
DEPARTMENT: Design Services – Wichita Operations Center
LOCATION: Wichita, KS
Pay Range
Administrative Assistant I: $17.35 – $21.68
Administrative Assistant II: $19.75– $24.71
Sr Administrative Assistant: $23.07 – $28.84
Lead Administrative Assistant: $26.54 – $33.17
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Additional hours as required)
Summary Of Primary Duties And Responsibilities
The position provides administrative support to the Design Services Group. The position supports personnel spread across several Evergy facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Administrative support to Design Services including Project Managers, Engineering, and Field Management
  • Create requisitions and receipts for vendors
  • Assists in planning and coordinating training and safety events
  • Prepares special reports, charts, and presentations
  • Coordinate facility scheduling and catering for large meetings and events
  • Create and track facility and IT requests for the supported work groups
  • Support onboarding of new hires including creating and tracking service requests
  • Coordinate travel planning and scheduling for individuals and groups
  • Prepare monthly expense reports for supported work groups
Education And Experience Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have administrative support experience supporting diverse operations and working with multiple supervisors.
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities Required
Candidate must be very detail oriented and must be able to deal with large volumes of data and maintain a high level of accuracy. Requires strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PeopleSoft experience or related systems experience is preferred. Must have the ability to apply creative problem solving and sound reasoning. Must be able to deal well with customers, handle multiple priorities, and process information in an accurate, orderly’ and timely manner. Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and provide a high level of internal/external customer service. Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Licenses And Testing Required
Successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. This job will require intermittent travel as needed.
