The Administrative Assistant supports the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success at Boston College.
This position provides high level administrative support to the Dean of Messina College and the Executive Director of the Institute. This position requires a self-starter with highly developed communications skills (diplomatic and interpersonal). The incumbent must have the ability to work and interact with a diverse community and demonstrate a high degree of cooperation and willingness to assist with all projects, academic programs, events and related matters. He/she must be able to set priorities, identify and execute assignments without daily supervision, deal with multiple time-sensitive interests requiring the Dean’s attention in the development of Messina College and take steps to resolve issues appropriately and within the scope of his/her authority.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $51,000 to $63,750; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
The Administrative Assistant must be extremely well organized and detail oriented. He/she will handle confidential information. He/she must have the ability to clearly see the “big picture,” determine priorities and multi-task simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum of an Associate’s degree with a high degree of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google applications,
email and Internet skills. Experience with People Soft HR and People Soft Financials is a plus. A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience, ideally in an educational environment.
