Job Description
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking organization looking for an Administrative Assistant II to join our team in Glen Allen, VA. Position Overview
As an Administrative Assistant II, you will play a vital role in supporting three distinct disciplines within our construction business unit: O&M Forestry, Cost Controls, and Line Assets. Operating under general supervision, you will be responsible for a range of routine clerical tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of these departments. Your tasks will involve tasks such as preparing reports in SAP, creating purchase order requisitions, email management, and maintaining SharePoint sites. Additionally, you will assist in coding items, recordkeeping, and utilizing various computer systems to manage information effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and generate established reports using SAP.
Create and manage purchase order requisitions.
Monitor and manage email inboxes.
Maintain and organize SharePoint sites.
Perform basic clerical duties including office supplies management, catering coordination, and travel arrangements.
Collaborate with a diverse team to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of computerized and function-related equipment for information recording and retrieval.
3-5 years of general office experience involving routine clerical or administrative tasks.
Ability to effectively manage multiple activities and resources.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in personal computer skills.
Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Independent and collaborative work approach.
Familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing applications, as well as SAP.
Working knowledge of company and department procedures.
Basic familiarity with SharePoint.
Preferred Experience
Prior accounting or compliance experience is a plus.
Contract Details
Duration: 1-year contract, with potential for conversion based on performance.
Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
