Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the Math and Physical Sciences Division to provide support for two departments: the Physical Sciences Department and the Computer Science and Technology Department. This position will assist students and faculty, will communicate information regarding schedules, prerequisites, and course information, will provide and explain applicable policies, regulations, guidelines, and procedures regarding the departments; assist students when necessary to ensure successful enrollment into the proper class. The ideal candidate will also generate reports and produce data upon request of the Dean, Chair, or Executive Assistant; attend all department meetings, record minutes; compose professional office documents and materials, including correspondence, reports, signs, and charts. The position will perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • 15.5% retirement match in PERS, 10 hours of annual and 10 hours of sick accrued each month, 11 paid holidays.

  • This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR
