In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Executive Director of the Nursing Program. Your responsibilities will include teaching and supervising junior year, baccalaureate nursing students in medical-surgical clinical settings and our Nursing Center Skills Laboratory.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you must meet the following qualifications and possess the following knowledge and skills:
Hold a current MA RN license in good standing.
Possess an earned master's degree in nursing or an earned doctorate in nursing (preferred), or possess an earned bachelor's degree in nursing and meet the criteria for appointment to the faculty of an RN program.
Have a minimum of three years of full-time experience in medical-surgical nursing or its equivalent within the last five years, demonstrating clinical competence in medical-surgical clinical instruction.
Maintain expertise in nursing practice and academia relevant to teaching responsibilities.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with undergraduate students, faculty, and staff.
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly in the context of nursing practice and health services.
Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Be proficient in using an online learning management system, electronic health records, and other basic technological applications.
Exhibit strong organizational skills.
Be capable of meeting deadlines.
Have the flexibility to work occasional off-shifts if required.
