Department Summary

The School of Public Health has over 300 students enrolled in its MPH , MHA , MS and PhD programs. About two-thirds of the School’s faculty are research-intensive tenure track or tenured faculty. One-third are practice-based faculty with heavier teaching, advising, and service roles.

Position Summary

The School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth is seeking Adjunct Instructors in the Department of Public Health Education

Instructors are sought to teach both online and face to face graduate level courses related to:

The incumbent will teach PHED 5297 Public Health Practice Experience for students enrolled in the Master of Public Health Program. This role serves as Faculty Course Coordinator for public health practice student experience and is the primary contact for site supervisors. Provide support to Associate Dean of Community Engagement and Health on practice experience oversight and community engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a master’s degree or doctoral degree in public health or related degree. Experience in community engagement, public health practice and mentoring.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience in an online or face to face environment and a terminal degree are preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will have expertise in public health and skills in mentoring and guiding students. Strong communication and organizational skills.
