Activities Director Jobs

Accura HealthCare of Pleasantville , a 53-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in Pleasantville, IA, is seeking an Activities Director to join our team. Using charismatic energy, you will actively engage residents to participate in activities that promote wellness within our community.
Shift: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY:
Utilizing staff, family, volunteers and community resources, the Activities Director plans, develops, coordinates, and maintains an extensive program of activities designed to provide mental, physical, and social stimulation that meets individualized needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities.
• Excel in time management and ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Successful completion of state specific required training/certification, such as the Activity Professional Qualification Course; if not currently obtained, must be obtained within first six months of employment.
• Able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
