6 Month Freelance / Contract ACD Art/Photographer/Design:

IDEALLY YOU:

• Specialize in photo and video art direction, with a strong portfolio that includes both editorial and lifestyle fashion photography and motion content.
• Know and love social media; and you have amazing ideas for how a brand can play on each platform in ways that are ownable and business savvy. Strong understanding of pop culture and social media trends. You follow photographers, influencers, stylists, etc.
• Are a highly seasoned ACD with 10+ years experience working on/with fashion brands (jewelry experience is a plus). You understand strategy and target audience nuances, and can elevate a “mall brand” without alienating the core customer.
• Are experienced in concepting and art directing motion content, including GIFS, cinemagrams, and lofi video to be leveraged across a range of social platforms.
• Have a superpower to create gorgeous concept and production decks: pulling swipe to communicate lighting, angles, and poses; defining a clear direction for wardrobe and H/MU; creating detailed shot lists; etc.
• Bring strong knowledge of fashion photographers; and you’re comfortable making recommendations on the right photographer or videographer for a particular project / set of deliverables. This includes knowledge of top tier talent as well as lesser known and/or emerging talent (all budget levels).
• Are super experienced in art directing both on-model and tabletop photo shoots. You are very comfortable giving direction on-set for lighting, set design, wardrobe & h/mu direction, etc.
• Are highly adept at Adobe Creative Suite; and can use Photoshop to manipulate swipe, create mockups, photo edit, etc.
• Comfortable overseeing retouching and providing clear direction.
• Consider yourself “a fashion person” with amazing taste. You have strong knowledge of luxury fashion brands and current fashion trends. You know and can easily reference jewelry brands of ever tier, including their editorial/advertising sensibilities.
