Accounting Manager (Series B)

About the Company:

Our client is a rapidly growing Series B SaaS startup that is changing the game for e-commerce businesses!! This is a newly-created position that will work closely with senior leadership and be instrumental in building out the accounting function from scratch!!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee audit, tax, and valuation engagements with third party firms
• Play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Finance function, including accounting, A/R, A/P, cash management, expense management, payroll, and internal controls and record keeping
• Assist in creating the formation of internal controls and policies
• Preparation of financial reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Ensure accuracy of home closing transaction data across internal systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and external requirements
• Oversee all aspects of the monthly close, working closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting that will help efficient decision-making at the management and operational level

Requirements:

• CPA license or actively pursuing/studying for exams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate effectively both within the Finance department and cross-functionally
• 4+ years experience (audit or tax) at CPA firm OR fast-paced high growth start-up
• Solid foundation of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• NETSUITE = HUGE PLUS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
