Accounting Manager (Remote) Jobs

SPANG is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for one of our esteemed clients. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the accounting department. You will be required to prepare financial reports, including the annual plan and operational budgets. Additionally, you will ensure the completion of financial and accounting records and prepare operational analyses for management.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory programs, such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control Program, and Customer ID.
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
• Collaborate with auditors/examiners during year-end and comprehensive audits.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with external entities, including companies and individuals, often requiring the ability to persuade and promote ideas or services.
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of credit union policies, objectives, and programs as a member of the management team.
• Recruit, train, guide, and evaluate department employees, making recommendations for promotions, transfers, and salary adjustments.
• Complete annual operational and capital budgets.
• Engage in frequent personal interactions, often involving sensitive matters. The ability to motivate, influence, and train others is essential.
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of all financial, statistical, and accounting records for the credit union.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in typing and utilizing general office equipment, including a 10-key calculator.
• Three to five years of comparable or related experience.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or recognized industry certifications equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, along with a CPA certification.
